Rappahannock Adult Activities is excited to kick off its annual spring plant sale with a Garden Party on April 20. Tickets are $35 and include fun, food and music. Partygoers will also be able to purchase our popular plants before they go on sale to the general public on April 21.
The event will take place from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. This party will help us raise money to support adults with intellectual disability.
We will use the proceeds from the garden party and the plant sale to pay for memberships to the Rappahannock Area YMCA and The Science Museum of Virginia.
The money will also provide many summer days splashing in the pool for the adults who participate in our day support program.
Our participants love being a part of the Fredericksburg area community, and your support helps us to provide them with volunteer opportunities, hobbies, emotional development and more. We hope to see you on April 20!
Purchase tickets here or at the Kings Highway location of RAAI, 750 Kings Highway (3.9 miles east of the Chatham Bridge). For details, call 540-373-7643.
If you can’t make the garden party, be sure to head on out to 750 Kings Highway to purchase herbs, vegetables, flowers and hanging baskets grown by adults with developmental disability in our horticulture therapy program.
Want to see your support in action? Check out our Facebook page, where we feature photos of our day support participants as they go on field trips, make crafts, cook, exercise, shop and visit with friends.
