Virginia Wounded Warrior Program
The Virginia Wounded Warrior Program (VWWP) was created by the 2008 General Assembly to ensure that services to veterans and their families are readily available in all areas of the state. It is operated by the Virginia Department of Veterans Services in cooperation with the Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services, formerly the Department of Mental Health, Mental Retardation and Substance Abuse Services, and the Department of Rehabilitative Services.
