  • 14-166 Clinic Coordinator III at the Fredericksburg Clinic (full-time): This position is responsible for program planning and development of a large clinic for intellectually disabled, substance abusing, and/or seriously emotionally disturbed individuals. The successful candidate will possess advanced knowledge of individual, family and group treatment relating to the intellectually disabled, substance abused, and behavioral/emotional disordered population, including counseling, therapeutic modalities and techniques related to clinical casework; thorough knowledge of the medical providers, social services and other agencies and community organizations providing services to the intellectually disabled; ability to supervise, evaluate and coordinate the work of a group of clinical staff; ability to prepare and maintain detailed records and prepare related reports; ability to develop and conduct training programs for individuals and subordinate clinical staff. Strong leadership skills and ability to provide guidance regarding program needs and performance expectations.  Master’s Degree in psychology or human services and extensive clinical work experience in the treatment of the intellectually disabled or substance abuser and mentally ill preferred. Administrative and clinical supervisory experience preferred. Virginia licensed as a Professional Counselor, Clinical Social Worker or Clinical Psychologist. Valid Virginia driver’s license with acceptable driving record required. Must be available to work two nights per week until 7:00 p.m.  This position is located in the City of Fredericksburg.   • 14-165  Substance Abuse Therapist/Case Manager at the Fredericksburg Clinic (full-time):  This position provides clinical case management services, specifically out­reach, to seriously and chronically substance abusing or chemi­cally dependent individuals of the agency's substance abuse treatment programs, many of whom are multiply impaired (e.g., chronically mentally ill) as well. Duties include outreach; case finding; assessment; service planning; psycho educational and supportive counseling, and therapy via traditional and non‑traditional individual group, and/or family therapy services; service planning; service link­age; case monitoring and individual advocacy functions. The successful candidate should possess thorough knowledge of: social casework principles, practices and  techniques; community, agency, regional and state resources and programs for the individual population. Good knowledge of:  the diagnosis and treatment of the substance abusing/chemically dependent population and mental illness, for working with individuals diagnosed with co-occurring disorders and related individual, group and family therapy and counseling practices and techniques including multiple treatment modalities;  the principles of family and group dynamics; individual management guidelines for Virginia; office management practices.   • 14-151 Emergency Services Therapist (full-time): This position assesses the general psychological and medical status of individuals referred to the agency for services; determines and arranges for appropriate treatment providers or personally provides direct therapeutic treatment on an emergency basis. The successful candidate will possess: thorough knowledge of the principles, practices and techniques involved in the diagnosis and general treatment of the substance abusive, mentally and/or emotionally disabled population; thorough knowledge of consumer management guidelines for Virginia, the laws and legal procedures relating to involuntary hospital admission, and the treatment providers and admission procedures for the region served.   • 14-139 Child and Adolescent Therapist at the Stafford Clinic (Virginia Licensed or License Eligible) (full-time): Licensed Clinical Psychologist, Licensed Clinical Social Worker or Licensed Professional Counselor to provide outpatient mental health/substance abuse therapy to children and adolescents. Work entails diagnosis, treatment planning, crisis intervention, counseling and case management.   • 14-105 Psychiatrist (full-time): This position performs medical, diagnostic, and treatment services for the agency's outpatients receiving services. The successful candidate will possess a through knowledge of:  the principles, standards, practices and techniques related to psychiatry; the characteristics and precautions to be taken in the administration of psychotropic medication; and the principles, practices and techniques related to individual therapy and counseling practices for the mentally ill. Will also possess the ability to:  accurately maintain patient medical records and prepare reports in compliance with licensure regulations; establish and maintain effective relationships with individuals, physicians, subordinates and others contacted in the course of work. Licensed to practice medicine in Virginia. Completion of an approved residency in psychiatry required. Board Certified by the American Board of Neurology and Psychiatry preferred. Demonstrated experience in community mental health/substance abuse/intellectual disabilities preferred; experience with adolescents over the age of thirteen preferred. MENTAL HEALTH RESIDENTIAL SERVICES

  • 14-162 Mental Health Residential Counselor II at Home Road Supervised Apartments in South Stafford County (full-time): This position plans, implements and evaluates individualized social and living skills development programs for residents who have serious mental illness and live in a residential facility. Incumbent performs supportive level counseling and training functions.  Position provides back-up support to other residential programs.   • 14-88 Intellectual Disability Support Coordination Supervisor in Caroline County (full-time): This position supervises the recruitment, training, and work of assigned Support Coordinators. The Supervisor is responsible for intake/admission to the Intellectual Disability (ID) service delivery system and monitoring of ID Statewide Waiver Waiting List. The incumbent is responsible for providing case management services to individuals with an intellectual disability, which includes: outreach, assessment, service linkage, monitoring and advocacy functions. Traditional and non-traditional counseling, direct care and supportive services are critical. The successful candidate will possess:  Knowledge of: interviewing and supportive counseling techniques; social casework techniques; the defini­tion, causes and program philosophy of intellectual disabilities; the different types of assessments and their uses in program planning; individuals' rights; local service delivery systems, including support services; the types of intellectually disabled programs and serv­ices; effective oral, written and interpersonal communication principles and techniques; general principles of record documentation; the service planning process and the major components of a service plan.   • 13-241 Day Support Aide at Rappahannock Adult Activities (substitute; part-time): This position assists in implementing instructional programs for individuals who are intellectually disabled/developmentally delayed at the Rappahannock Adult Activities Day Support Program. The successful candidate will have the ability to: communicate effectively, orally and in writing; relate well to people with mental and emotional problems; keep accurate records and prepare reports; establish and maintain effective working relationships; respond to crisis situations both behaviorally and medically; engage people with developmental disabilities in a variety of settings with meaningful activities that are entertaining and provide choices for the individual; and work in a commercial kitchen under close supervision. Preferred candidates will have working knowledge of proper body mechanics/lifting skills and of the community. PREVENTION SERVICES

  • 14-145 Family Support Workerr - Bilingual for Healthy Families Rappahannock Area - Fredericksburg (full-time): This position is responsible for initiating and maintaining home visiting services to first time parents who are considered to be at risk for abusing or neglecting their child. The position will work with parents to promote bonding and increase parent/child interactions as well as on child development, prenatal and child health, problem solving skills, and linking to community resources as needed. The position will also coordinate community-based events for families in collaboration with other community organizations. The successful candidate will have: knowledge of positive parenting skills, child development concepts, child health, safety and nutrition; experience working with young children (0-5 years) and their parents; ability to: work effectively with multi-disciplinary community professions, establish and maintain personal/programmatic boundaries, while providing supportive services, use word processing software to create professional reports; strong interpersonal skills/ability to relate to people with respect for their individuality in a non-judgmental manner and maintain confidentiality in daily operations; public relations skills and ability to speak to both large and small groups; highly organized, detail-oriented and able to work in a fast paced environment. Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, child development, nursing, or social work, preferred. Bilingual and proficient in English and Spanish, both written and spoken, required. The successful candidate will possess: thorough knowledge of the operating and safety practices and techniques related to driving a passenger vehicle; thorough knowledge of state and local laws governing vehicular movement on public thoroughfares; good knowledge of routine preventive maintenance practices and common mechanical failures related to the vehicle operated; good knowledge of the regional geography and major road systems; good knowledge of emergency first aid and CPR techniques; good skill in the operation of a motor vehicle; some knowledge of the common behavior of the population of individuals served by RACSB; good physical condition required to provide assistance to individuals entering and exiting the vehicles; ability to handle crisis situations and relate well with individuals served, their families and agency staff. The successful candidate must be able to work a split shift A.M./P.M., Monday through Friday. High school diploma or its equivalent and considerable driving experience, including paid experience in transporting others. Valid Virginia Driver's License and acceptable driving record required.   • 14-111 Transportation Attendant (part-time): Provides safe and timely transportation for individuals with various physical and/or mental disabilities to and from their residences to various developmental programs provided by the Agency. The successful candidate will possess: good knowledge of emergency first aid and CPR techniques; good skill in the operation of a motor vehicle; some knowledge of the common behavior of the population of individuals served by RACSB; good physical condition required to provide assistance to individuals entering and exiting the vehicles; ability to handle crisis situations and relate well with individuals served, their families and agency staff; ability to operate a wheelchair lift and secure passengers who use wheelchairs. The successful candidate must be able to work a split shift A.M./P.M., Monday through Friday. High school diploma or its equivalent. ADMINISTRATION

  • 14-168 Medical Records Clerk at the Fredericksburg Clinic (full-time):  This position assists with planning and monitoring the individual record-keeping system under direct supervision. Maintains individual records according to established agency policies and procedures and specific licensing standards; assures proper verification, correspondence, identification, and storage of individual data. Facilities the flow of individual and service related information; ensures that files are properly opened and closed. Serves as backup to the Office Associate and Office Manager. The successful candidate should possess good knowledge of: numerical and alphabetical filing systems; the common terminology of the mental health field; standard office procedures; and confidentiality requirements. Knowledge of Privacy Act and HIPPA. The individual should also have the ability to: properly coordinate the flow of individual files, do data entry tasks, knowledgeably operate a personal computer and other standard office equipment, and interact effectively with others. Good organizational skills and attention to detail required. Strong computer skills required. Knowledge of electronic health records, experience with setting up electronic health record. Hours of work are Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; with one night. to 7:00 p.m. Must be willing to float as needed to other RACSB clinics. High school diploma/GED required. Experience with medical filing systems preferred. Valid Virginia driver’s license and acceptable driving record required. Annual salary: $25,740 + benefits.

  • 14-153 Human Resource Manager (full-time): This position manages the agency's human resources program including the development, administration and maintenance of policies and procedures, coordinates the employee relations programs, record management, recruitment, and selection, performance management, salary administration, staff training and benefits programs; investigates personnel related matters and oversees the employee discipline and grievance process. Serves as advisor to the Executive Management Team the Personnel Committee of the Board as well as supervisors and employees on personnel related issues. The successful candidate will possess: thorough knowledge of the theories, principles, practices and techniques of modern public personnel and human resources management; good knowledge of federal and state laws and the current legal issues and litigation related to the field; good knowledge of modern office practices and procedures, of agency activities and of the terminology involved. Good knowledge of the practices and techniques of adult training and of community resources. Excellent written and oral communication skills; ability to prepare and conduct training presentations. Excellent research, analytical, problem solving and conflict resolution skills. Ability to establish effective working relationships with others.
