  • 15-78 Juvenile Drug Treatment Court Therapist in Fredericksburg (full-time): This position provides direct therapeutic treatment and educational services to substance abusive individuals less than eighteen years of age and their families or children of substance abusing parents. Thorough knowledge of the diagnosis and treatment of the children of substance abusers and substance abusive population and, in particular, the child and adolescent   population and related individual, group, family and play therapy  and counseling practices and techniques including multiple treatment modalities. Thorough knowledge of principles of child and adolescent psychology, physical and intellectual development. Thorough knowledge of the principles of family and group dynamics. Thorough knowledge of individual management guidelines for Virginia. Good knowledge of office management practices. Ability to establish and maintain rapport with the individual population.     15-63 Substance Abuse Case Manager, Adult Drug Treatment Court in Fredericksburg (full-time): Provides clinical case management services, specifically outreach, to seriously and chronically substance abusing or chemically dependent individuals of the agency's substance abuse treatment programs, many of whom are multiply impaired (e.g., chronically mentally ill) as well.  Duties include outreach; case finding; assessment; service planning; psycho educational and supportive counseling, via traditional and non-traditional individual group, and/or family therapy services; service planning; service linkage; case monitoring and individual advocacy functions.  Thorough knowledge of social casework principles, practices and techniques.  Thorough knowledge of community, agency, regional and state resources and programs for the individual population.  Good knowledge of the diagnosis and treatment of the substance abusing/chemically dependent population and mental illness, for working with  individuals and related individual, group and family therapy and counseling practices and techniques including multiple treatment modalities.  Good knowledge of the principles of family and group dynamics.  Good knowledge of individual management guidelines for Virginia.  Good knowledge of office management practices.  Ability to establish and maintain rapport with the individual population.  Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees and with private and public agency personnel.   Ability to function calmly in stressful situations.     15-50 Juvenile Drug Treatment Court Mentor (part-time): This position provides mentoring services to participants in the Rappahannock Regional Juvenile Drug Treatment Court as a means of supporting treatment for recovery of substance abuse. The service is intended to provide participants with socialization experiences, tutoring, transportation and monitoring as a means of promoting abstinence from alcohol and drugs and involvement in activities inconsistent with criminal behavior. Experienced with adolescents; must work independently; must communicate effectively. High School Diploma, with a Bachelor’s in Behavioral Science preferred. Valid Virginia Driver’s License. Must be able to work days, nights, and weekends. This position requires 15 hours per week. Hourly rate $13.71.

  • 15-23 Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (full-time): Performs medical, diagnostic and treatment services for the agency's individuals served population in collaboration with agency psychiatrists. Has thorough knowledge of the principles, standards, practices and techniques related to psychiatry and nursing. Has thorough knowledge of the characteristics and precautions to be taken in the administration of psychotropic medication. Has thorough knowledge of the principles, practices, and techniques related to individual therapy and counseling practices for individuals with mental illness. Is able to accurately maintain patient medical records and prepare reports in compliance with licensure regulations. Is able to establish and maintain effective relationships with individuals served, physicians, subordinates and others contacted in the course of work. Master’s degree in nursing and certification as a psychiatric nurse practitioner. Current DEA registration. Demonstrated past experience in community mental health with chronically mentally ill preferred. Licensed by the Virginia Board of Nursing as a Clinical Nurse Practitioner who specializes in the area of psychiatry; experience in an outpatient mental heals/substance abuse setting; strong computer skills; knowledge of electronic health records.   • 15-06 Psychosocial Advocate at Kenmore Club (full-time): Provides services and support to individuals with long-term mental illness through the clubhouse (day support program) model; including pre vocational training, vocational training, outreach, and supportive counseling. Incumbent may supervise the preparation of lunch for all program participants, a clerical unit, do outreach and home visiting, and supervises the preparation of statistical reporting or a program maintenance unit staffed by program participants. Good knowledge of the practices and techniques of rehabilitative vocational training in "club house" setting. Some knowledge of social casework management and of supportive level counseling practices. Ability to lead the work of others. Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing. Ability to relate well to people with mental and emotional disabilities. Ability to prepare accurate financial and other reports. Bachelor's Degree in the Behavioral Sciences with some professional work in vocational training with the mentally ill population and experience in grounds maintenance work, or registered with IAPSRS. One year of experience working with individuals with mental and emotional disabilities.  Valid Virginia Driver’s License. Hours are Monday through Friday, between 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and some Saturdays. Salary $34,372 + benefits.
  • 15-02 Emergency Services Therapist at the Fredericksburg Clinic (full-time): Assesses the general psychological and medical status of individuals referred to the agency for services and determines and arranges for appropriate treatment providers or personally provides direct therapeutic treatment on an emergency basis. Thorough knowledge of the principles, practices and techniques involved in the diagnosis and general treatment of the substance abusive, mentally and/or emotionally disabled population. Thorough knowledge of individual management guidelines for Virginia. Thorough knowledge of the laws and legal procedures relating to involuntary hospital admission. Thorough knowledge of the treatment providers and admission procedures for the region served. Ability to establish and maintain rapport with the individual population.   • 15-68 Mental Health Nurse at the Crisis Stabilization Program at the Sunshine Lady House for Mental Health Wellness and Recovery (full-time): Seeking an LPN or RN to join our team.  Work takes place in an established, state of the art Crisis Stabilization program providing services to avert psychiatric hospitalization for adults experiencing acute psychiatric crisis.  Thorough knowledge of principles, standards, practices and techniques related to psychiatric nursing. Thorough knowledge of the principles, practices and techniques of   rehabilitative vocational training and Medicaid programming for day support.  Good knowledge of social casework management including needs assessment and supportive level counseling. Ability to keep accurate records and prepare daily reports. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with their individuals, families and other staff and significant others. Approved “Qualified Mental Retardation Professional (QMRP)”. This means an individual possessing at least one year of documented work experience with individuals who have intellectual disabilities or other developmental disabilities and is one of the following:  a doctor of medicine or osteopathy, a registered nurse, or holds at least a Bachelor’s  Degree in the Behavioral Sciences and some experience in a Day Support setting, or equivalent education, experience, and training to produce the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. Valid Virginia Driver’s License. Position is 29- hours per week, Monday through Friday.  This position is located in Caroline County. Hourly rate $16.53.

  • 14-281 Children’s Intellectual Disability Support Coordinator in Spotsylvania County (part-time): This position is responsible for coordinating service delivery to children with developmental delays, ages 3 years old to 14 years old, through outreach, assessment, service linkage, monitoring and advocacy activities. Incumbent prepares Individual Service Plans (ISPs) and interacts with schools and community service providers. Knowledge of interviewing and supportive counseling techniques. Knowledge of social casework techniques. Knowledge of the definition, causes and program philosophy of intellectual disabilities and developmental delays in birth to 3 years of age. Knowledge of the different types of assessments and their uses in program planning. Knowledge of individuals’ rights. Knowledge of local service delivery systems, including support services. Knowledge of the types of intellectual disabilities programs and services. Knowledge of effective oral, written and interpersonal communication principles and techniques. Knowledge of general principles of record documentation. Knowledge of the service planning process and the major components of a service plan. Skill in negotiating with individuals and service providers. Skill in identifying and documenting service needs.  Skill in coordinating the provision of services by diverse public and private providers.  Skill in analyzing and planning for the service needs of intellectually disabled persons.   • 15-62 Assistant Group Home Manager at Devon Drive Group Home (full-time): This position plans, implements and evaluates individualized social and living skills development programs for residents who have intellectual disabilities who live in the community in a residential program, with family, in a supervised apartment setting, etc.   Incumbent performs supportive level counseling and training functions.  Position provides back-up support to other residential programs. Thorough knowledge of the principles, practices and techniques of instruction for intellectually disabled persons.  Good knowledge of effective supportive counseling practices and techniques.  Good knowledge of behavior management practices and techniques applicable to persons who have intellectual disabilities and/or mental illness.  Good knowledge of social casework practices.  Good knowledge of common housekeeping practices.  Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing.  Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with residents, their families, other staff and significant others.  Good physical condition to physically assist residents as necessary.  Ability to prepare accurate resident records. TRANSPORTATION SERVICES

  • 14-220 Van Driver - Substitute (part-time): Provides safe and timely transportation for individuals with various physical and/or mental disabilities to and from their residences to various developmental programs provided by the Agency. The successful candidate will possess: thorough knowledge of the operating and safety practices and techniques related to driving a passenger vehicle; thorough knowledge of state and local laws governing vehicular movement on public thoroughfares; good knowledge of routine preventive maintenance practices and common mechanical failures related to the vehicle operated; good knowledge of the regional geography and major road systems; good knowledge of emergency first aid and CPR techniques; good skill in the operation of a motor vehicle; some knowledge of the common behavior of the population of individuals served by RACSB; good physical condition required to provide assistance to individuals entering and exiting the vehicles; ability to handle crisis situations and relate well with individuals served, their families and agency staff. The successful candidate must be able to work a split shift A.M./P.M., Monday through Friday. High school diploma or its equivalent and considerable driving experience, including paid experience in transporting others. Valid Virginia Driver's License and acceptable driving record required. ADMINISTRATION

  • 15-67 Utilization Review Specialist at the Fredericksburg Clinic (full-time): This position will implement an internal review program that establishes and monitors minimum standards for staff in the areas of service productivity, accountability, best practices and access to care. In accordance with established industry criteria, Assess and evaluate the appropriateness of services to promote quality and cost effective results. Assess and monitor documentation according to mandated regulations. Based on the needs of various agency programs, develop and implement training for staff to address findings of reviews to maintain efficiency, adherence to regulations, and quality of the administration of services. Considerable knowledge and expertise of utilization review activities for behavioral health activities and fiscal and resource availability in relation to service and quality assurance requirements.  Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing to staff. Ability to provide written and verbal statistical analysis of staff utilization reports. Demonstrated ability to perform work dependably and independent of direct staff supervision. Computer literacy: Word, Excel, Access, and Power Point. Master’s degree in Behavioral Health with professional experience in behavioral health utilization management preferred, or a combination of education, training, and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities. Schedule: Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.  Annual salary $45,422 + benefits.
