Mental Health Residential Services

The mission of RACSB’s Mental Health Residential Program is to assist individuals with severe and persistent mental illness in gaining or regaining the skills necessary to live independently within the community.

Supervised Apartments are buildings owned or leased by RACSB and rented to individuals with serious and persistent mental illness. Staff are on-site daily:

  • Liberty Street Apartments - Fredericksburg
  • River Place Apartments - Fredericksburg
  • Bridgewater Street Apartments - Fredericksburg (pictured at left)
  • Home Road Apartments - South Stafford (Transformation Initiative)
  • Lafayette Boulevard Boarding House

Supported Living Arrangements provide individuals with long-term mental illness the opportunity to live in their own home or apartment. Staff provide various levels of support, such as assistance with budgeting, cleaning, cooking, and medications.

Contracted Supervised Residential Services provide staff support to individuals released from Western State Hospital who require 24-hour care and are living in an assisted living facility. RACSB staff provide daily onsite support and work to reacquaint the individuals with the community.
